About the Role

Old Navy's Marketing Effectiveness team is responsible for analyzing the financial impact of the brand's marketing efforts. The team develops recommendations based on financial analytics and forecasts marketing sales contribution to guide total company sales expectations. Through in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis, the team helps guide ON Leadership to create the most profitable marketing campaigns, inclusive of discounting and media spend.

What You'll Do

The Marketing Effectiveness Manager is the financial owner of commercial planning and promotional strategies for Global, Omni Old Navy with a focus on Old Navy Online and Mexico Stores.
  • Develop pre-season and quickly reflow in-season forecasts that maximize sales and margin while clearly communicating risks and opportunities to company forecast.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and Inventory Management leaders to develop promotional plans that maximize profitable sales growth through various marketing levers, including daily discounting, today only deals, and flash sales.
  • Hindsight marketing efforts to understand the cause and effect to business results and inform go-forward strategies.
  • Present results, analysis, and recommendations to ON leadership in a way that is easily and quickly digestible.
  • Tackle open-ended questions and ad-hoc analysis that have no precedent or a clear answer. Use that analysis to inform future plans.
  • Support and develop both direct and in-direct reports in their career growth.

Ideal candidates are data-driven, motivated by the questions "What If" and "Why", and enjoy digging into the results to understand what happened, what worked, what needs improvement. Likes solving puzzles and understands how actions today impact the future. Has a passion for developing direct reports and building relationships with cross-functional partners.

Required Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial analysis and business objectives into clear business recommendations
  • Proven ability to build strong cross functional partnerships and influence others
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines
  • Ability to mentor, guide and develop team members.
  • Strong understanding of retail math preferred
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new applications quickly. Microstrategy and Essbase experience a plus.

Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Related Field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience. Prefer experience in retail analysis with a strategic mindset.
  • Management roles that include leading others.
