What'll you be responsible for:
  • Owning the Active merchant goal for international growth targets/regions/countries w/a focus on customer acquisition through our digital channels
  • Building, managing and coaching an impact-focused performance marketing team
  • Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts, reports, budgets and ROI
  • Lead annual marketing investment planning and strategy for our international markets
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across marketing efforts
  • Identify levers for Merchant growth by country
  • Understand our merchant segments (marketplace sellers, dropshippers, social sellers) in each market
  • Work cross-functionally with regional and in-country teams to develop local market strategy in relation to investment priority and monitor progress, highlight trends and biggest opportunity areas
  • Collaborate with Revenue & Comms team to drive in-country outcomes
  • Plan, execute and measure the effectiveness of growth experiments within the market with the goal of improving customer acquisition
  • Owning acquisition efforts across local performance marketing channels, that aren't managed by central teams
  • Partner with the central performance marketing teams to achieve acquisition goals by country
  • Create consistent frameworks for growth across different markets of the region
  • Provide insights for Product market fit. Identify merchant needs & localization gaps, document and share with the Product org / R&D
  • Build and share market context for Shopify, across different teams
  • Develop a bi-directional feedback loop to foster strong collaboration with sales and marketing teams, driving a culture of constant improvement, career development and management with your people.


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Experience working in regional and headquartered teams.
  • Strong growth background, quantitative and performance acquisition and retention experience.
  • Deep P&L knowledge and experience. Has managed medium to large teams across marketing.
  • Ability to report to executive management.
  • Strong data and analytical skills.
  • Have proven ability to build and scale marketing business models.
  • Have a deep international experience
