One of the most iconic and cutting-edge French fashion Houses, Maison Margiela was founded in Paris in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. With both masculine and feminine collections, oftentimes fusing the two genders, the House takes an original approach to deconstructing, reinventing and redefining men's and womenswear silhouettes.

Since 2012, Maison Margiela has held the official ‘Haute Couture' appellation from the Fédération Française de la Couture for its collection entitled ‘Artisanal'. This collection is the key to all the contemporary looks in the ready-to-wear collections and collaborations.

Since 2014, British couturier John Galliano is the House Creative Director, infusing poetic vision of Haute Couture, marrying concepts with arts, and creating a new modern elegance through Martin Margiela legacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for a Samples Flow coordinator, who will be part of the Central Merchandising department, based in our Parisian HQ with the mission of

  • managing the movements of the collections from leaving the factory in Italy, arriving at our Paris' office, between departments, from the beginning to the end of the season until collection is returned to Italy or archived.
  • checking the packing lists, scan the samples in the company system (ST3K system) and/or Fashion GPS, and print the samples labels
  • coordinating with all departments involved as communication, sales operations and logistics, sales, studio department and facility
  • participating in the key meetings to define and review the ongoing processes
  • defining action plan in case of need
  • reporting


PROFILE

  • 3 to 5 years experience in sample flow coordination, ideally acquired in the luxury industry
  • Good understanding of each department needs, timing and issues
  • Good product knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of ST3K and Fashion GPS systems
  • Problem solving orientated and strong project management skills
  • Proficiency level in English and French. Italian is an asset
  • Effective communication skills, proactive and team player
