About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Analyst within our Corporate Finance team to support our Capital Planning process. In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to not only help drive these critical financial processes for the company, but also identify ways to streamline these processes by minimizing/eliminating non-value added process workload in order to shift the focus toward strong analytics, investment hind-sighting and prioritization, and strategic support for Gap Inc's Senior Leadership team. This position will play an integral part in supporting the company's long term investment strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Support the capital planning process by delivering exceptional reporting, analytics, and insight into Gap Inc.'s portfolio of capital investments.
  • Help identify and implement process improvement opportunities, shifting the balance of workload toward analytics and strategic decision support, and away from process mechanics. Help identify new tools and technology to transform the capital planning process.
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing a new Capital Planning process that is focused on in-season management of Gap Inc.'s investment portfolio incorporating the prioritization of new demand, evaluating in-flight investment performance, and hind-sighting delivered investments
  • Improve reporting through standardization, automation, proactive planning, as well as incorporating concise, high-impact analysis
  • Establish new reporting and dashboards to convey portfolio performance, risk and opportunities, and assist with investment prioritization
  • Develop strong partnerships with brand and function finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders, inspiring a collaborative work environment

Who You Are

  • Knowledge and experience with financial modeling including DCF, IRR, NPV, and ROIC
  • Experience with tools and technology including Excel, Essbase, Oracle, PowerBI, and any other reporting/analytics tools utilized by large organizations
  • Strategic, analytical, and structured thinker that possesses keen attention to detail and can articulate complex situations in a simple way
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with supporting PowerPoint presentations. Must be comfortable working with senior leaders.
  • Driven by a fast-paced environment that requires a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, flexibility, and commitment to deliver on deadlines
  • Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifies opportunities, and provides creative solutions
  • 4+ years of experience in finance/capital planning, with successful track record of developing and managing a team and collaborating with business partners . Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field, MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus

Benefits at Gap Inc.
