The Engineering and QA Team partner with Product to build and provide new features that create value. They also maintain the platform, from eliminating bugs to applying security updates.


We're looking for a Senior DevOps engineer to help shape and give our vision for technical infrastructure. Stadium Goods' tech team is composed of brilliant team players. As a member of the DevOps Team, you will work with the engineering team to support and refine the infrastructure that supports our primary business applications, while maintaining a high degree of security and compliance. Reporting to our DevOps Lead, our DevOps Engineers are involved in building, and maintaining our core cloud-based infrastructure, promoting our expansion into new markets and delivering a high-quality experience to customers, suppliers, and partners.


    • You will oversee our portfolio of AWS environments and resources: contribute to the architecting and build out of new resources, monitor active workloads and resolve issues, and implement optimizations for sizing and cost-reductions.
    • You will support our engineering team: develop QA sandboxes and staging environments, create automation solutions for CI/CD, and support engineering teams by providing automation and other solutions to provide a robust development process.
    • You will determine security standards and enforce best practices across cloud and on-prem infrastructure and networking/telecommunications.
    • You will work with IT Compliance Project Manager and other team members to ensure compliance with essential regulatory standards including Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, GDPR and others.
    • You will help coordinate third-party service providers and SaaS vendors used in relation to our infrastructure.


    • You have 5+ years' system administration and DevOps experience, with 3+ years building production workloads on AWS using services including EC2, RDS, S3, ALB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, OpsWorks, and VPC.
    • You have 3+ years experience in a 24x7 operational role on a cloud-based service.
    • You have expertise in deploying containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS/ECR/EKS.
    • You have experience in scripting and task automation using Python, Perl, Bash and the AWS CLI.
    • You have an expert-level understanding of Git and software revision control and code deployment best practices; ability to design automated code deployment scripts using Gitlab or similar CI/CD tools.
    • You have Expertise in the use of automated deployment tools including Ansible, Chef, Saltstack or similar.
    • Familiarity tuning SQL databases for scale and performance, specifically with Postgres and MySQL compatible RDS Aurora, and MS SQL Server.
    • CDN setup and configuration experience, preference for CloudFlare.
    • You can use external monitoring services to detect and analyze infrastructure events: DataDog, SumoLogic, CloudWatch, New Relic, Rollbar.
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • You are a solid team player, and self starting attitude
    • You can exhibit interpersonal, customer service, decision-making, and analytical abilities.

    • You have experience driving quantifiable infrastructure cost reductions while maintaining security and compliance.
