As a Team Lead for the New Business & Innovation Team (m/w/d) in the Connected Retail Team you will play a key role in shaping new strategic projects and driving innovative approaches to allow the business to grow. The ideal candidate is not only very strong in conceptual, strategic and analytical work, effective in implementing and driving business, but also stands out as a motivating leader and has excellent stakeholder and project management skills. As our growth targets are ambitious we are looking for a colleague who is seeking a new challenge in an entrepreneurial, fast growing and exciting environment.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- End to end ownership and management of new strategic projects together with your team. This will include the conceptualisation of new topics, creating business cases, developing full project plans and managing stakeholders throughout
- Owning and driving the innovation process for Connected Retail together with your team
- Leading the New Business & Innovation Team with 5-6 direct reports and defining and driving the project roadmap as well as hiring
- Alignment and cooperation with other teams within the unit and Zalando
- Contribution to Connected Retail's commercial success and in collaboration with the Management team, drive conceptual and strategic work
- Responsibilities in defining, implementing and optimizing internal processes and tools to ensure operational efficiency for our growing business
- Degree in Business, Economics (or equivalent) as well as 6+ years solid work experience in a fast-growing tech company, business development, management consulting or other strategic development or entrepreneurial position(s)
- Experience in building and leading strong teams
- Proven project management, conceptual, strategic and analytical skills
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work well independently as well as in a team including guiding colleagues and managing stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills in English; German or another Zalando-market language is a plus
