The Omnichannel Development, Finance & Business Operations department formalizes the omnichannel strategy, drives the development of associated business processes & consumer services as well as leading their operational implementation. The department is also in charge of evaluating the business and financial performance of the omnichannel business.

Within the department, the Omnichannel Operations team focuses on supporting and improving omnichannel and retail tools & processes deployed in Markets and stores, aiming at optimizing operational efficiency. The team ensures processes and tools are effectively deployed, fully functioning and properly used by end-users once the roll out phase of project isoverand processes & tools enter the daily run phase.

The Omnichannel Operations team proactively supports Market and end-users by leading issue resolution, monitoring operational process execution and driving improvements plans together with Product Owners and Expansion team. Thanks to its process knowledge, the team acts as a key user of existing business processes and co-design new processes with the Product team to ensure new products, processes and tools will be relevant and operationally efficient. TheOperationsteam also designs and maintain process training to ensure proper usage and strong engagement of end-user, creating a training and knowledge hub in various platforms for experts in HQ and ambassadors in local countries and stores. The team is the key point of contact of the Markets with the Department when it comes to issue management and operational process management. They act as the voice of the stores to HQ departments and vice versa. The Operations team is driving initiatives and experience elements that support the consumer journey in the store environments (i.e.consumer insights, music, traveler services) to keep engaged with our end consumers and consistently improve the journey and experience for them, this in collaboration with many different stakeholders.The team is composed of operation coordinators and specialists a well as business process analysts. The team environment is dynamic, open and service oriented.

The Position

The role reports to the Omnichannel Operations Manager and is part of a team that is responsible for operationally supporting markets and stores with existing digital products, systems and business processes within the retail and store environment. The role will also be focusing on improving processes and driving operational excellence within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the subject matter expert for the point of sale system (POS) and act as the main point of contact for markets to address operational questions, issues and improvement requests.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT team to address issues reported by markets, support in identifying how to best solve these and analyze reoccurring challenges to drive structural fixes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the POS, the related systems, and its business processes to be able to support markets and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive business process optimization for the POS by collaborating with key stakeholders in the Omnichannel Products, Retail and Tech teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the training team to develop, implement and/or support required training needs for new releases, new features of the POS to ensure end users are equipped with the required knowledge.
  • Engage in other daily operational activities such as, monitoring the team mailbox, managing the issue ticketing system and periodically providing reporting to the wider team to highlight challenges that need to be addressed for all live tools, systems, initiatives in the store environment.

As our store environment continues to evolve the role will primarily focus on the in store POS, however is expected to expand to other areas such as Inventory Management, RFID, Store Communication, Omnichannel Services and/or other Store Experience elements.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1-3 years' relevant experience in a Retail Operational environment, Store management capacity and / or in a sales process environment ideally within the Retail industry.
  • Has an understanding of the constantly evolving retail and omnichannel environment and the needs, urgencies and priorities the stores face on a daily basis.
  • Process enhancement mind-set, ability to manage and develop operational objectives and achieve success by developing current processes or finding new methods to enhance efficiency and positive results.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills, capable to advise and pursue the markets and teams within the head office with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to organize his/her own work as well as lead meetings/workshops and structure tasks of stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Strong team player, ability to network and gain cooperation to work productively with others within the HQ, Local Office departments/individuals, store teams and vendors
