Who We Are:

Backed by Macquarie Group, Battery Ventures, Canaan Partners & ITOCHU, JOOR is a Series D start-up that provides the world's most recognized brands and retailers with a digital wholesale management platform that transforms the way these businesses work.

With a CEO recently named a Glossy 50 “Changemaker in the Fashion Industry” and a CTO from Google, JOOR is attracting top talent to drive market dominance.  We have 180 employees in 11 global offices, including NYC, Philadelphia, LA, Milan, London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Melbourne, Tokyo and Shanghai. And, we are continuing to grow in a smart, sound way.

Founded in 2010, JOOR now services more than 12,500 brands and over 325,000 retailers in 144 countries, processing an incredible $1.5B in wholesale transaction volume each and every month. JOOR’s exclusive partners range from established luxury conglomerates such as LVMH, Kering, Richemont and Capri, to leading brands such as Stella McCartney, Valentino, Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Dr. Martens.  Premier department stores including Neiman Marcus, Printemps and Harrods, as well as global digital retailers such as Shopbop and Revolve, conduct their buying exclusively through JOOR.

We are one of the few tech companies with a female CEO and 1/3 of our engineering team is made up of women — well above the industry norm. Walking our floors, you’ll find people of every shape, color, ethnicity and creed. If you are looking to join a team of innovators and trail blazers who value diversity of thought and experience, then JOOR is a great choice for you.

Why JOOR:

What You'll Do:

This is an exciting opportunity to be JOOR’s first recruiter in Europe. We are growing rapidly in Europe, and you will have the opportunity to own full-cycle recruiting for multiple positions across our UK and EMEA locations (Madrid, London, Paris, Milan, and more!).

As JOOR’s Recruiter in Europe, you will:

  • Own fully-cycle recruitment for all UK and Europe-based positions. This includes technical roles and business roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify skills, competencies, and hiring goals
  • Develop and execute custom hiring strategies for different positions
  • Track, build, and improve an exceptional candidate experience
  • Understand and improve our diversity metrics
  • Design hiring processes that minimize and mitigate unconscious bias
  • Source proactively for passive candidates, utilizing creative sourcing methods
  • Lead the offer process, including extending offers, closing candidates, and creating employment contracts
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for JOOR, both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with the broader HR and Talent team on employer branding and diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Partner with the HR team on employee engagement programs
  • Report directly to the VP of Human Resources

What We're Looking For:

  • 3 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, ideally within a startup or fast-paced, growing company
  • Experience partnering with managers, interviewers, and team members throughout the hiring process
  • Experience utilizing Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar technologies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are a plus, but are not required
  • Consultative approach - you know how to influence hiring managers and drive for improvements and changes where you might not have direct authority
  • A can-do attitude - you enjoy the challenge of toggling between strategic plan creation and tactical execution. You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent relationship building skills - you are able to connect with people quickly and leverage relationships for business success
  • High emotional intelligence - you are empathetic and love to help others
  • Growth mindset - we recognize that no one will come into the job with every skill. A strong desire to learn and improve is necessary for success
  • A can-do attitude - you enjoy the challenge of toggling between strategic plan creation and tactical execution. You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity to learn more about complex situations
  • Sensitivity and discretion, particularly when it comes to confidential employee information

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
