Job Details

As Senior Sales Enablement Specialist, you will be the go-to-partner for our salesforce. You serve as a sparring partner for sales leaders and as a coach to sellers on topics around skill building and career development. You will build strong relationships across the EMEA teams to understand the learning needs for Shopify's salesforce. With your expertise in the learning craft, you understand the multiple approaches we need to consider and utilise. Learner centricity is at the core of your thinking when you innovate, build and deliver. You will collaborate with stakeholders and team members to build best-in-class learning programs and foster a culture of learning for all Sales and related commercial functions. You are a valued partner for the global sales enablement functions and infuse the EMEA perspective as needed.

Shopify exists as a digital-first workplace, so you must be comfortable leveraging technology to increase engagement, accountability and implementation in a remote first setting. You have in-depth knowledge of how to approach technical learning problems, skill gaps or team building to maximise impact. You are constantly researching new approaches to onboarding or to digital learning, staying up-to-date on industry innovations and best practices. Capitalising on your previous sales experience, you understand the power of data and know how to develop and deploy success metrics. Most importantly, you live and breathe learning as a craft, and love getting your hands dirty with solving learning opportunities through experiences.
  • Partner with our salesforce and other relevant stakeholders to establish objectives and goals of learning programs
  • Collaborate with the enablement teams to create and deliver impactful enablement experiences to EMEA sellers
  • Own existing and new sales learning programs, learning materials and associated communications
  • Facilitate learning sessions, team homesites, and other synchronous learning activities
  • Conduct event surveys, assessments on courses and measure direct business results to provide trends and insights to Craft Leads and Leadership Team
  • Continuously drive leading-edge, digital-first innovations into learning experience solutions
  • Witness your efforts bearing fruit and thus making commerce better for everyone

Qualifications

  • You have a deep understanding of the sales craft, culture and leadership. It is a plus if you have worked in a sales role before.
  • You have several years of relevant experience creating and managing learning programs and experiences. You can convincingly communicate the value added by your initiatives and programs.
  • A passion for creating digital learning experiences and communicating their value.
  • You don't have to do everything alone, so you will also work with external training providers and should be familiar with managing relationships with them.
  • You've worked with high-growth teams and businesses.
  • Fluency in the development of accessible digital content and test digital assets for accessibility.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of anti-bias, diversity, and cultural awareness in the creation of (digital) learning experiences.
  • You display excellence in execution, and the spirit to innovate. A growth mindset will help you achieve that.
  • You build for the long term and for scale. You are skilled in Ways of Working (Design Thinking / Agile ways of working).
  • Business fluency in English is a must, additional languages (German, French, Italian, or Spanish) are a plus.
  • It's also a plus if you have coaching experience.
