The Team

Fitting within the wider Omnichannel Development, Controlling & Business Operations department, the Digital Retail team's objective is to create an omnichannel consumer & store staff experience across all distribution channels. We focus on enhancing the in-store experience by offering relevant and innovative digital products, tools and services. We use Design Thinking methodologies to understand the ever-changing needs of our consumers & store associates, identifying key pain points and opportunities in their journeys and conceptualizing digital solutions to solve those challenges.

Our team already developed a wide variety of digital omnichannel experiences (smart fitting room solutions, endless aisle kiosks, CRM personalization tools, etc.), deployed in a large number of stores around the world. We seek to inspire our consumers as well as empower our store staff by putting technology at their service.

The Role

As a Product Specialist within the Digital Retail product pillar, your role is to support and collaborate with the Product Owners and Product Teams on new proof of concepts, pilots, and other innovations. Part of your role is to support the Product Owners in product management, and identifying, designing, and building new innovations and improvements, Other areas of your role include providing strategic business & product analyses to stakeholders such as local retail markets, Tech department, Merchandising & Retail teams, Finance & Legal, and the Expansion team. Your responsibilities also include reviewing business processes end-to-end to identify and address technical, implementation and operational risks and opportunities, as well as supporting in creating business cases for new initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the product team to improve product management, including defining, scoping, planning, design, development, rollout and support of the Digital Retail solutions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary scrum teams (incl. design, development, QA) and together drive the completion of backlog (projects, epics and stories)
  • Support in agile ceremonies (demo, planning, grooming, retro, etc.) together with the Product Owner and Scrum Master
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify the biggest opportunities for growth, identify key metrics of success and help in the prioritization of our product roadmap
  • Support the Product team to drive insights and actions from reports and to share the results with all relevant stakeholders (Expansion, Analytics, Tech department...)
  • Support proof of concepts by following up business objectives and KPI's. Proactively propose actions and opportunities which are derived from POC results
  • Be in the field to observe our consumers & store associates, conduct focus groups and organize user testing sessions with prototypes to validate ideas.
  • Make sure that the solutions integrate seamlessly within our ecosystem and always look for potential technical improvements.
  • Work closely with global stakeholders (retail, e-com, IT, etc.), local country offices and store teams to ensure that projects are smoothly implemented and embedded within the organization.
  • Together with the Strategy and Analytics team, analyze financial investments vs. expected ROI, business KPIs and other performance data to ensure informed decisions to the management team can be delivered
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Strategy, Analytics, Tech, Merchandising and other departments to assist or gather business requirements needed for enhancements and implementations

Position Requirements
  • University degree
  • 2 to 4 years' work experience including ideally experience in Product or Project Management and/or Business Analyst
  • Passion for new technologies and eagerness to drive innovations. Use creativity to solve challenges and be on the lookout to find new ways to improve consumers' shopping experiences
  • Appetite for technology and process-oriented mindset
  • Strong analytical & problem solving capabilities, as well as highly structured and organized
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent MS-Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Fluent written and spoken language skills in English and ability to work in multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment
  • Ambitious, motivated to go the extra mile and able to perform in a demanding work environment
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality
