The Team

PVH Europe is on a mission to redefine the fashion industry by driving full digitization along the company's entire value chain, from product design to the end-consumer.

The Technology department aims to become a driving force in the organization for technology strategies & tools that enable the company's growth and create ever-increasing value for the end-user, be it the PVH organization, the employees, our customers or consumers.

Our Ecommerce & Marketing strategy aims to create a seamless consumer experience across all consumer channels, thereby connecting online and offline channels. The success of the product teams is based on the effort and collaboration with many other teams across the organization which are all part of the company's omnichannel journey. The product teams develop, implement and orchestrate the initiatives in an agile way from a business perspective until complete operational implementation as well as guide the cross-functional teams. In light of this direction we are looking for a seasoned Technology lead to head up the Marketing Technology teams.

The Position

This role requires a seasoned technology delivery leader who solves complex business problems by leveraging technology. This Leader can bridge the Direct-to-consumer functions both functional and Technical to enable the Tech in a business led Tech organization. You have a deep understanding of both modern and traditional Marketing disciplines catered with the latest software engineering principles.

You are first and foremost, a technologist. Made up of one-part Technology geek and one-part integrated marketing expert, this hybrid professional straddles the fence between both worlds, which today are really one and the same. You are a crucial link between Marketing and Technology. Not only do you require to bridge within the different Marketing functions across Brands but also liase with the other Business and Technology functions that rely on them. In this role you report to the Sr Director of Ecommerce and Marketing Technologies and, together with your peers in ecommerce and OMNI Retail, you help translate the marketing vision to a technology implementation to deliver on our Brand goals.

The Head of Marketing Technology (MarTech) will own the regional relationship with the business stakeholders and will establish strong partnerships with other functions including product management, business process, Global Functions and other regional Technology functions to deliver business value through technology. Part of the journey is built or leverage regional technology team(s) to deliver digital commerce technology and Direct to Consumer solutions for PVH Europe.

This role requires a result driven can-do leader, passionate about applying product leadership, building empowered organization and technology to transform the Fashion industry that welcomes all. Will have proven experience in driving transformational change, global scale and positioning the Europe MarTech function to incorporate emerging technologies in the space of digital commerce, marketing and content technologies.

The role requires a strong ability to build a network and influence senior, cross-functional leaders to resolve issues that may arise to deliver a consistently high service to our technology teams. Will also have a strong understanding of the latest trends and how to incorporate relevant emerging technologies while maintaining daily operations. Will empower team members to make recommendations and provide input in a highly collaborative environment.

Key responsiblitees

  • Be a strategic partner to the PVH European Marketing Leadership and elevate the Marketing Technology priorities and embed them into our Technology roadmaps.
  • Act as trusted technology partner and establish great rapport with other Technology teams, product managers, business partners and cross-functional (Global) stakeholders to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Lead, Inspire and influence to successfully empower the Technology teams to enable them to execute the Marketing Portfolio for the region, including initiatives that support growth of existing line of initiatives and expansion. This to ensure teams have appropriate direction, leadership and balance between short-term impact and long term vision
  • Understand OMNI & Marketing strategies of PVH brands, and partner with product management leads to define Marketing/CRM/Digital commerce technology roadmap(s) and set Technology direction regarding the strategic position of their area(s), including ensuring the required expertise in-house or external, to support it.
  • Work closely with other groups to coordinate strategies, priorities and inter-dependent initiatives; coordination with the other Application Development groups, Architecture teams, Infrastructure groups (eg., Ops, Network, Tech), Information Security/Audit areas, and business units regionaly and globally.
  • Together with your Product Leads communicate with senior and executive stakeholders across PVH on key technology initiatives - including business benefits, status, progress, and risks/dependencies.
  • Understand the potential use of new and/or innovative technologies in their area as driven by PVH initiatives, vendor capabilities or industry best practices & trends, and informing peers as necessary.
  • Able to understand the Do's & Don't when it comes to Consumer Data and the protection of it while providing Technology guidance to how Data can be leveraged as a differentiator for our Brands
  • Serve as owner for the respective technology stacks and ensure appropriate technology is implemented in alignment with business needs and Technology guidelines.
  • Supports the development of a clear strategy for Inclusion & Diversity internally and externally towards our associates, partners and supplier base, including policies and processes that drive the implementation of this strategy in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization and HR in particular
  • Create a high performing MarTech Function of direct and indirect reporting relationships. Ensures that these multi-disciplinary teams work effectively with stakeholders across the organization to enable the development and implementation of the PVH Brand strategies. Coaching them on best-in-class development practices as well as a collaborative, learning mindset

The Ideal Candidate:

  • EXPERIENCE: At least 8+ years of working experience in an international business environment with progressive experience in the space of MarTech concepts. 2+ years in the Fashion and Retail industry is preferred
  • VISION/LEADERSHIP: Establishes vision and direction for regional support functions in alignment with Corporate standards and strategy. Able to see the big picture and has broad knowledge and perspective. Must be able to communicate effectively with different leadership levels and functions. Excellent business acumen and strategic lens

  • DECISION-MAKING: Makes data-driven decisions, based on prior experience and sound judgment; knowledgeable in current and future policies, practices, trends and information related to business operations and supporting disciplines. Ability to analyze and digest multiple variables while making timely decisions in the face of ambiguity.
  • CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING: Looks to broadest possible view of an issue or challenge; uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective tactics. Comes up with new ideas and approaches and looks beyond the obvious when developing solutions.
  • TECHNICAL ACUMEN: Knowledge and ability to apply, emerging trends and developments in PaaS, SaaS, Cloud-native solutions, AI/ML, API/micro services and other digital technologies that enables a Marketing Strategy.
Experience with one or more major: Cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure) MarTech / AdTech / CRM platforms (Salesforce, Google, Adobe, CDP platforms etc.) as well as other digital / direct consumer solutions. Experience with major ECM, CMS, DAM, MAM and other digital content solutions (e.g., Nuxeo, Adobe, CoreMedia, CloudFront, Akamai, etc.) Experience with one of the major eCommerce platforms (Salesforce, Websphere etc.) as well as other digital / direct consumer solutions. Expertise in designing and building applications for scalability and redundancy and with global considerations and scalability in mind Experience in system design as well as providing guidance on all aspects of the Agile SDLC, product lifecycle management and other modern concepts of software development methodologies
  • COMFORT WITH AMBIGUITY: Constantly changing environment requiring multitasking - ability to lead and communicate at all levels to achieve changing objectives. The flexibility to work across locations including flexibility to participate in meetings and electronic communication effectively.
