About the team

As part of the Youth, Accessories and Home Team, you will be responsible for driving the product development process from initial design concept through commercialization for the Youth Jersey collections. You will be working closely with the Youth product and print designer and report to the Product manager.

The Product Developer is a dynamic individual responsible for driving the product development process from tech pack to finished product. Leveraging specialized product expertise to create premium styles supporting the design vision and business KPIs, including garment and development costs and lead times are fundamental to the success of the role.

The Product Developer role is central to the product creation process at GANT and therefore, strong organizational and communication skills are required as well as the ability to manage timelines, deadlines and stakeholder relationships. Product expertise, an innovative and solution oriented attitude, an inherent sense of good craftsmanship as well as a keen understanding of market expectation for the product category are also important for this role.


  • Develop products in the right quality, price and at the right time, having key daily interactions with designers, sourcing, buying and suppliers
  • Be the link between designers and suppliers and make sure that the development process and sample handling is being communicated, understood and followed by all involved parties, meeting key deadlines in the critical path
  • Work proactively to source and develop high quality and commercially viable jersey qualities and products that are in line with the product brief and category range plan
  • Drive the price and lead-time negotiation process towards the suppliers and ensure the final product is aligned with the category range plan
  • Drive, follow and act up on quality test reports of materials/trims and final samples to ensure a high-quality standard across the products
  • Always be on top of sales performance and competitive environment to secure a competitive assortment. Develop jersey products in the most sustainable way

Your skills

  • University degree within textiles or related
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in related fields, preferably working with product development of jersey garments
  • Able to manage a dynamic, high-paced and collaborative work environment and keep deadlines while maintaining flexibility
  • A humble team player with great communication and organization skills
  • Positive and passionate
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and PLM Database Systems
