Senior Project Manager - Sales Operations/Excellence

As a Senior Project Manager Sales, you will be part of the new Sales Operations Team within the ZMS Sales and Marketing organisation. The ambition for the Sales Operations Team is to ensure high standards of consulting and operational excellence within the Sales and Consulting units.

This will be achieved through defining, tracking and continuous monitoring of sales productivity, effectiveness and quality. The responsibility of the team will encompass enhancing the various competencies across all levels of the Sales & Consulting organization including competitive selling, partner management, sales training and co-develop new commercialization strategies through working closely with other functions.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in executing on our business priorities by driving highly relevant projects in the constantly moving environment of advertising. The ideal candidate isn't only very strong in project management with an analytical mindset, but also effective in implementing and supporting how to drive the business. As our growth targets are ambitious we are looking for a professional who is seeking a new challenge in an entrepreneurial, fast growing and exciting environment.

  • Work closely with different teams across ZMS (such as Sales, Commercial Steering, Analytics) and Zalando to define, develop and implement cross-functional, cross-departmental Sales Operations and Sales Effectiveness projects independently
  • Oversee & manage the progress of all of your projects from structuring and defining the project, through creating the project plan to implementation of your targets, present it to various stakeholders, and solve newly arising problems on-the-go
  • Follow an analytical approach to understand business needs and enable data-driven decisions, while supporting the project to identify clear requirements for different areas and help in defining measures for implementation.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 4 years work experience in sales project management in the industry (e-commerce, tech / media company) with a demonstrated top performance
  • English fluent spoken & written; any other European language is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, incl. management of senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding project management skills, excellent problem solving and outstanding analytical skills, incl. proven track record of managing complex projects
  • Thorough understanding of media / advertising industry; Fashion / e-commerce background and understanding of key areas such as analytics, controlling, product and tech is a strong plus.
  • You have a hands-on mentality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment dealing with many topics simultaneously and always thrive to find the best solution in the shortest possible time
