Where the Merchandising Assistant Fits:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Product and Design team and report directly to the Product Manager. You’ll be an important part of driving global sales for the brand through the development of all products and collections. Daily communication with our supply base to see product through from order stage to delivery into the warehouse.

You will be responsible for ensuring our critical path is up to date from sampling through to shipping and ensuring the full team has visibility on each and every stage of production. You will be helping manage budgets, hit targets and take a lead on your own projects within Product. You will work closely with all teams within the business, ensuring any relevant updates are communicated and there is full awareness of any reorders and new launches we are planning.

Due to the global nature of our brand, you’ll have to have a flexible approach to your working hours.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support and assist the Merchandiser and the wider product & design team with all responsibilities.
  • Assist the Merchandiser to maintain the production tracker, critical path, ensuring we are working to and hitting set deadlines.
  • Send a Monthly review of all Off-Shore Suppliers which includes strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Form & nurture strong working relationships with our Off-Shore supply base to ensure they all meet and maintain delivery schedule, quality and margin expectations.
  • Create agendas and type up notes and action points from key meetings.
  • Advise on issues with stock in transit and updating relevant trackers
  • Send key updates to advise the business of stock leaving the factory and in-stock as it arrives.
  • Keep up to date with fashion trends with a strong commercial awareness.
  • Help to identify new product opportunities to support the growth and expansion of the business.
  • Support the Merchandiser with ad-hoc duties, reports and general admin tasks.
  • Support with any additional tasks to fit with the needs of the business.


Skills & Experience  

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A confident and resilient person who can build relationships with ease.
  • Organisation & multi-tasking skills are crucial as this is such a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial and analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to negotiate & pitch.
  • -Ideally have 2 plus years' experience as Merch Assistant
  • -Experience with liaising with factories in China and India
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing process and raw materials to develop samples and ranges effectively and to cost and have a comprehensive understanding of production methods, manufacturing processes and garment construction.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects from concept to launch.
