Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Product Sustainability Manager will work closely with the Design and Product Development teams to ensure are up keeping with policies and standards, monitoring the progress towards material targets.

Your Mission:
  • Manage and oversee the progression towards material targets on a regular basis.
  • Measuring and monitoring product environmental footprint, including lifecycle assessments and onboarding key business partners to achieve this.
  • Ensure that Sustainable measures and policies are adhered to and updated, maintaining Stella McCartney's sustainability commitments and standards.
  • Manage the development of collections and design focused projects ensuring that sustainability targets are met.
  • Creating new relationships with key innovation partners and maintain partnerships with suppliers.
  • Be an expert in product. Providing sustainability focused support and technical advice to the wider business to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities.
  • Work in collaboration with design, sourcing, marketing and communications to ensure descriptions of product are a true reflection.
  • Being a spokesperson for the brand - ensure the brand is engaged in all key conversations and to bring industry knowledge into our sustainability strategy.
  • Any additional ad hoc duties.


Your Talent:
  • Passionate about creating meaningful change in the fashion industry.
  • Able to build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of luxury fashion product and supply chains.
  • Strong technical understanding of sustainability topics such as responsible innovation animal welfare, climate change, biodiversity and the circular economy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Communicates with impact and has the ability to inspire, excite and challenge.
  • Strategically minded with good commercial awareness.
  • Collaborative approach to implementation.
  • Experience of operating in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven record of delivering targets and results-orientated.
  • Ability to understand and analyse information to be able to recommend informed solutions to problems.


Systems and Essentials
  • Competent IT skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Italian speaking preferred, not essential
