GAUGE81 is a young fast-growing fashion start-up based at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. Through the use of striking angles and playful proportions, GAUGE81 (pronounced GO-SH eighty-one) blurs the line between evening and casual wear. Indisputably feminine, the brand is a study in contrast and retro references that are at once familiar and completely unexpected.

Our activities include everything from the design, sourcing and manufacturing of the collections as well as marketing and PR. Our clients include Net a Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Moda Operandi and Brown’s Fashion. 

As an intern you will perform the following tasks: 

  • Providing assistance to the Financial Accountants and the CEO;
  • Preparing and maintaining financial documents and records;
  • Controlling and analyzing the financial data;
  • Preparing reports and overviews for the Financial Accountant and the CEO;
  • Supporting the team by performing assigned accounting tasks;
  • Supporting the month end closing activities.

What we are looking for:

Our ideal intern has an interest for the fashion industry and is prepared to function in a demanding environment where strong time management and keeping a clear overview are a key. You need to have a proactive attitude and an eye for detail, an excellent executional and organizational skills. You love working in a team but you manage also perfectly on your own as you are independent and proactive. 

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Currently taking-up a Bachelor or MBO4 degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business administration or equivalent;
  • Proactive, organized and accurate;
  • Driven to deliver results and exceed expectations;
  • Can work independently, and has a hands on mentality;
  • Located in the greater Amsterdam area and enrolled as a student (in the Netherlands) for the entire duration of the internship;
  • Available per mid or end of February 202240 hours per week, for a period of minimum 6 months;
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • You know your way around Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Exact is a big plus
