Global Lease Administrator

This role will report to the Senior Real Estate manager and collaborate closely with the Workplace Operations team, internal clients, and external partners; the ideal candidate will run the day to day operations associated with our lease holds and sublease administration as we build out Shopify's next chapter as a Digital by Design company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage a global portfolio of properties ranging from office space, conference centers, retail spaces, and warehouses as both the master tenant and or sublandlord.
• Manage all financial transactions associated with lease administration including internal and external billing, and rent payment
• Support the facilities team as a landlord liaison in day-to-day operational matters.
• Prepare presentation and reports of investment recommendations for senior managers, directors, and executives
• Maintain digital records and manage access to information for internal and external stakeholders
• Support other real estate and alternative asset portfolio related duties as assigned

Qualifications

You'll need to have:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as business administration, accounting, finance, or real estate
  
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in real estate administration, finance, project management, or other highly analytical/quantitative roles
  
• Strong knowledge of, and experience with, lease and sublease administration
  
• Highly motivated, self-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
  
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  
• Demonstrated ability to produce effective reports
  
• Excellent communications skills with an ability to explain complex ideas concisely
  
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a team environment with emphasis on relationship building
  
• Thrive on change as the duties of this position may change from time to time.
  
• Occasional travel required
  

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience within the commercial real estate industry would be an asset
  
• Demonstrated project management skills considered an asset.
  
• This is a remote position based in North America
