JOB PURPOSE

The Burberry Security Operations team is globally responsible for security monitoring, incident response, engineering, threat and vulnerability management and identity and access management. The IT Security Engineering Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance of Burberry Security solutions and continuous improvement of their configuration and policies.

We are an innovative team, currently working to increase our use of automation across our security landscape. The role will provide opportunities to input into the development of new capabilities, using a number of leading security technologies.

This role will also provide opportunities to gain experience in other areas of Security Operations, such as Security Monitoring, Incident Response and Threat & Vulnerability Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Security Engineering Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Providing security assurance to change processes.
  • Development and lifecycle management of security solutions.
  • Continuous improvement and certification of perimeter security policies.
  • Tuning of security policies to align with identified vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
  • Assisting in developing the technical capabilities and tools to support the Security Operations team.
  • Liaising with wider IT teams to provide security configuration guidance.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in relevant Technology/IT Security related subject.
  • Working towards relevant academic or industry qualifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CISA.
  • Experi ence in at least two hardware/software infrastructure platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Passionate about security - keeps up to date on the latest news, trends and threats.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of common attack mechanisms and targets.


Experience or knowledge of at least two of the following:
  • Endpoint Security (AV/EDR).
  • Tuning and monitoring IDS/IPS Signatures.
  • Web Filtering.
  • Data Loss Prevention.
  • Next-Generation Firewall and rule base administration.
  • Detection Engineering.
  • Understanding of network and infrastructure security and administration.
  • Understanding of secure design methodologies.


Desirable:
  • Experience with Tanium, McAfee and/or Splunk.
  • Virtualisation technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Security Knowledge in one of more of the following areas: Windows (Server and Workstation), macOS, M365.
  • Understanding of application security and OWASP.
  • Scripting language experience (PowerShell, Python, VB, etc).
  • Hands-on administration/operations experience.
