About the Team:

The legal team at Stella McCartney is a growing team organized in a very lean manner. As legal people responsible for the company's legal services and compliance, we love working together and for the business, we are highly motivated, hard workers and energized by tough challenges.


Reporting to the Head of Legal, the Legal Specialist is meant to be the "go to" resource for legal issues and contracts of various kinds, with an emphasis on supporting the IT team in negotiating and closing technical deals with main focus on data privacy compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering mainly with IT and Operations teams on a variety of issues, negotiating and drafting the relevant contracts;
  • Advising on privacy, supporting the implementation and continuing development of a privacy governance strategy and compliance framework, policies and procedures for Stella McCartney group;
  • Advise on new projects and initiatives providing actionable and practical advice to the business on GDPR compliance;
  • Work closely with internal auditor and Security Manager to drive and co-ordinate large cross-functional projects relating to privacy matters balancing priorities and needs of multiple stakeholders;
  • Conduct and advise on data protection impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments and legal assessments relating to international data transfers.

Your Talent:
  • Demonstrated sound business and legal judgment;
  • The ability to manage a large number and variety of critical projects under pressure, working independently and often in a very tough environments;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to coordinate in another language with colleagues based abroad;
  • Attention to details, problem solving, proactivity.

  • Degree in Law;
  • Fully qualified lawyer in Italy (preferential);
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience and a focus on privacy and regulatory;
  • Specific training on Data Privacy Law will be considered a plus;
  • Excellent English language skills that include the ability to draft complex legal documents.
