Job Overview: The Art Director, Photography supports our in-house online creative team. The Art Director will display outstanding creative fashion and on-figure art direction skills with an ability to work on multiple projects and juggle multiple priorities. P rimary focus will be non-recognizable on-figure product photography with some editorial opportunities.

Essential Functions:
  • Operates with a solid grasp of the Bloomingdale's aesthetic. Elevates and evolves the site aesthetic while supporting the overall brand direction
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to creative to final execution with ease
  • Supervision of on-figure e-commerce photography; oversee the photographers and stylists to ensure concepts align with brand vision
  • Partner with studio creative teams, and photo production crews; support conceptualizing & planning of shoots
  • Edit, select, crop images in a timely manner
  • Facilitate post-production of shoots
  • Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards


Operate within budget standards

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university

5+ years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically.
  • Complete fluency in Photoshop, InDesign, Excel
  • Must have a solid understanding of on-set operations both fashion and still life
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs


Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
