About the Role
In this role, you will oversee Inventory Control Finance and Reporting, including the close activities for all brands, markets, channels for Gap Inc. You will be a key contributor in all strategic projects impacting inventory, requiring in depth knowledge of stock ledger requirements and design. You will be responsible for providing guidance, data, and analysis to other areas of finance or the brands. The teams are responsible for leading several key financial performance management activities for Gap Inc., including the annual budget, long-range plan, and monthly forecast. Using these activities as a foundation, they provide the executive leaders and other relevant stakeholders with forward-looking financial projections, performance perspective, and foundations for optimal decision-making.

About the Role

What You'll Do
- Technical subject matter expert for the financial accounting of merchandise inventory for all brands, markets, channels for Gap Inc. globally, which requires a comprehensive understanding of financial statements, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and the entire financial close process.
- Provides guidance and support for financial inventory projects, initiatives, and process reviews - drives the establishment of business requirements.
- Upholds the company and brand culture and creates an inclusive environment where both customer and employees feel valued, appreciated, and a sense of belonging.
- Deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis of key expenses during the budget, forecast and close processes, assessment of year over year fluxes. Identify opportunities for improvement.
- High level of individual accountability and the ability to influence others while maintaining key relationships in the business; Manages a large team of professionals.
- Supports business partners in problem solving and oversight for the timely resolution of issues related to Financial inventory and reporting
