About the Role

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Supervisor plays a critical role in Gap Inc.'s Asset Protection strategy, "We enable purpose-led, billion-dollar businesses by protecting People, Assets, and Brands." You will contribute to the Global Security & Crisis Management "Center of Excellence" by providing capabilities with a "Try Fast, Learn Fast, Think Big mentality." In addition, you will perform as a subject matter expert by leveraging optimized resources to identify risk and deploy efforts to increase speed and efficiency. The GSOC Supervisor is a high visibility role and is directly accountable for the effective and efficient management of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and its operators. The GSOC Supervisor will lead the day-to-day activities in the Global Security Operations Center and oversee, monitor, and guide the daily job performance of GSOC personnel.

The Global Security & Crisis Management "Center of Excellence," located at Gap Inc. headquarters in San Francisco, Ca, serves as the focal point for the monitoring, risk analysis, and business continuity reporting intake for Gap Inc. Under the direction of the GSOC Supervisor and Sr. Manager of Global Security, the GSOC executes the various critical functions of including, but not limited to, Risk Event Identification/Escalation, Global Risk Intelligence Analysis, Emergency & Crisis Response, Supply Chain Security, Travel Security, and Physical Security. In addition, the GSOC works closely with teams across the Gap Inc. Asset Protection organization and the wider business, serving as a critical business partner that enables our businesses.

What You'll Do

• Participates and leads the regular monitoring of open-source intelligence, social media platforms, and internal specific intelligence-gathering tools for known and potential threats to employees, company assets, and reputation
• Participates and leads the monitoring of geopolitical events that may impact executive travel, company events, and operations and provide periodic and timely reporting.
• Manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain the company's confidentiality and information security practices (medical records, personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.).
• Manage and lead response efforts to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and coordinate response of security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel as required.
• Provides direct support in answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment, including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms, and provides general assistance to employees, vendors, and guests.
• Leads and provides the direction of the dissemination of emergency mass notifications and other crisis communications.
• Leads the GSOC coordination to all emergencies: medical, fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters, and accidents.
• Assists with the development and revision of GSOC processes, protocols, and systems.
• Provides back-up, support, and on-call function as needed for the GSOC.
• Ensures completion of routine audits and inspections of physical security and safety compliance initiatives daily, weekly, monthly, and annual.
• Directly assists in developing and maturing the capabilities of the GSOC, including support for operations and the intelligence/analytics areas.
• Supervise the maintenance and deployment of a GSOC knowledge and metrics repository (ex: SharePoint Site, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, or other tools).
• Works with the Sr. Manager of Global Security and Global Security Intelligence Analyst to identify process and quality improvements for GSOC operations.
• Develops, leads, and conducts training exercises with the BCP, ICS Market, and Global Security leadership teams.
