The Team

Fitting within the wider Marketing and Communications group, PVH STUDIOS (PVHS) produces over150,000 image assets each year for both Tommy Hilfiger (TH) and Calvin Klein (CK), primarily for the brands' global Ecommerce (E-Com) websites. From its new state-of-the-art 23,500 sq. ft. facility in Amsterdam, PVHS strives to blend operational excellence with creative elevation to ensure best-in-class digital fashion consumer experiences, every day. With 9 fully-equipped Ecommerce bays running on the latest tech, 2 Editorial Studios with drive-in capacity, a Still Life Studio, Equipment Room, Sample Management area, cafe with full menu, kitchen, offices, meeting rooms and chill-out spaces (oh...and a jump-up sound system) - it is truly one-of-a-kind.

The Position

This critical role brings imaging innovation into the PVHS team. Having been at the fore-front of creating scalable technical imaging workflows (either as Lead Photographer, Tech or Post), the right candidate will now be at the forefront of imaging technologies and lead teams to invent new content production techniques for 'POST-COVID' fashion consumers.

Always willing to try new things with a bias for optimism, the Imaging Manager will partner with internal and external stakeholders to improve current workflows and implement new ones. The will be ultimately accountable for technical stability and providing teams the expertise needed to perform their roles every day. Equally, the role will also lead be example and often be active 'On-Set' or in an operational capacity.

Reporting into the Senior Creative Manager, the role finally has strong creative remit producing inspiring fashion content at volume. It continually sense-checks the aesthetic quality-bar and asks "What is enough for the consumer"? It elevates quality but is realistic on where reasonable boundaries exist. The role is vigilant against complexity, exception and subjectivity. It partners closely with Operations & Production Teams to drive studio operational excellence every day whilst ensuring standards are always met.

In terms of behavior, the Imaging Manager navigates ambiguity and remains calm and pragmatic when direction unavoidably changes. This is a role-model position for the PVHS 'HOW WE ACT' principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead all technical imaging teams (FTE and Freelance) at PVH Studios across Photography, Video, Lighting, Digital Capture, Image Tooling, Post-Production and integration with E-Commerce platfrom technology.
  • Own ALL technical output delivered by PVHS teams with ultimate accountability for technical execution inside agreed studios workflows.
  • Research, innovate and invent new scalable content experiences (AI, AR, UGC, Video etc) for digital consumers pushing boundaries and inspring organizational collabroation to realize vision.
  • Partner with PVHS Art Directors (AD's) to lead creative teams to consitently hit quality-bar.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the studio 'Aesthetic Variables' KPI.
  • Work closely with PVHS Leadership team to optimize studio efficiencies every day.
  • Test and implement new E-Com PDP Guidelines alongside internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse consumer data to inform content innovation and technical improvements.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with global brand leadership and technical teams.
  • Contribute to Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with E-Com and Marketing Leaders.
  • Technical and executional lead on 'Special Projects'.
  • Shoot at least 3 x days per week to lead by example.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 12 x years experience in a Lead Photography or Digital Imaging role within high-volume E-Com fashion workflows and with proven experience inventing new imaging techniques.
  • Background in balancing creative with commercial, operational and strategic business priorities
  • Elevated creative portfolio resonating with contemporary fashion consumers.
  • Hunger to drive automation and standardize workflows whilst maintaining creative standards.
  • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills preferably with some agency experience.
  • Proven track-record of inspiring, managing and directing creative teams (comprising of Photographers, Stylists, Models, Hair & Make-Up Artists, Digital Technicians and Retouchers.)
