As a Senior Data Analyst for Lounge Pricing Analytics, you will help build the next generation pricing system for our Offprice channels; while putting data at the core of our decisions and processes. Developing a deep understanding of our customers & evaluating our business decisions through complex analyses and deriving actionable insights will be part of your mission.

Where your expertise is needed
  • You apply your data expertise and scientific knowledge in causal methods to support business decision-making, understand our customers and evaluate impact. You are the go-to person in the team for complex analyses on Zalando’s large and diverse dataset.
  • You collaborate with tech teams and develop your work into user-friendly data products, such as assessing the attractiveness of our stock, estimating return of investment, estimating seasonality and price elasticity of our assortment
  • You are an excellent communicator - you excel at data storytelling and empower Pricing team and your stakeholders through simple and effective visualizations
  • You have an avid interest both in our business and in learning new methodologies, through which you contribute valuable ideas in team discussions
  • You can work with junior analysts and guide them in their analytical work to create impact

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a commercially savvy and impact-driven senior analyst with:
  • Strong educational background in social sciences such as economics, political science or in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering or its equivalent. Master’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 3+ years of working experience as an analyst in a relevant field, ideally within e-commerce context
  • Solid knowledge of data querying (SQL/BigQuery) and experience with Python or R and Git. Good understanding of statistical and causal methods (experimental and /or quasi-experimental)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills with a curious, creative and self-starter mindset. You couple your passion for data with pragmatism to drive actions and impact
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau is a plus
