JOB PURPOSE

Productivity Improvement, Generate SMV, Management Reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Validate SMVs received from industrialisation team, generate accurate SMV's and maintain the GSD database
• Validate the operation breakdown from industrialisation team, prepare line balance sheets, Machine layout and work with production teams to ensure smooth flow of production for each manufacturing order.
• Method studies, Method improvements to achieve given SMV and further reduce SMVs by method improvements.
• Amend/ further improve the SOPs given by the industrialisation team.
• Production studies, method studies, time studies and help to clear production bottlenecks, advise production staff on efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Training of other supporting staff (i.e. Performance improvement coach/ Training instructors/ other production staff) on industrial engineering techniques and GSD.
• Efficiency calculations and reporting of weekly efficiency report/ down time report and other management reports.
• Coordinate with STLs, PI and TI to ensure the skill matrix is accurate.
• Guide Performance admin to generate meaningful performance data required for performance improvement and waste reduction.
• Co-ordinate with methods manager in industrialisation team to ensure latest verified SMVs are used for costing purposes.
• Attend pre-production meetings and work with industrialisation team to make sure the method specified in tech-pack is applied in bulk production.
• Feed information to planning department to set targets and output scheduling #L1-CA1

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Experience within a clothing manufacturing company or another related labour intensive industry
• IMS - Diploma in Management services or BSc. Industrial Engineering
• GSD - Certification
• MS Excel
