Job Details
SUMMARY
The position focuses on quality control of Domestic Finished Goods. This individual is responsible for working with our outside factories to control specs and standards of physical garments. This individual will also update the Domestic Production Manager on due dates and any issues through WIP updates and regular communication.
CORE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Coordinate the completion of TOP samples and photo samples
- Review TOP samples against target specs and construction instructions
- Work with the Domestic Production Manager and Fit Tech to problem solve any spec or construction issues with the TOP prior to approving the factory to begin bulk production
- Regularly visit the assigned factories to review time and action of open WIP
- Check sewing line work to ensure bulk target specs and construction instructions are being followed by factory operators
- Review the flow of bulk cuts, communicate any time and action issues to the Domestic Production Manager
- Physically inspect garments as they come off the line and into finishing. Sign off on finished garments to approve the factory to being packing
- Respond to all email inquiries or requests from the Production Team in a timely manner
- Review calendar daily for updates to fit times or meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed
- Candidate must be highly organized with ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency
- Candidate must be a team player, willing and able to work-cross functionally with multiple departments
- Self-starter with an understanding of the Design through Production process
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Production Finished Goods
- Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees
