JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for a Service Transition manager to manage the transition of projects in the Product and Supply Chain space to the BAU team. The ideal candidate will be provided the unique opportunity to develop their knowledge of the luxury fashion sector through exposure across our business.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Transition Manager capable of handling multiple project transitions concurrently.

You will work with talented and dedicated teams in an environment with a great culture. The work is fast paced and challenging with scope for learning new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define requirements for all support, including acceptance into service and early life support based on agreed service and technical designs.
  • Partner project teams to transition of all new and amended services to the Service Owner and support teams using agreed acceptance into service criteria.
  • Build relationships with the key stakeholders (both IT and business).
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that Service Transition requirements are incorporated into all projects.
  • Support the project team on creating the required Transition Artifacts.
  • Work with the wider Transition and Support teams to ensure existing processes are followed.
  • Validate that the defined requirements have been met and reporting any gaps.
  • Identify and manage Service Transition Risks and Issues.
  • Report regularly on project Transition status to Service Manager and Portfolio Manager.
  • Contribute to the communication of new and changed services to all affected parties.
  • Ensure the Service Catalogue is maintained for new Services.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of the overall Transition process.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Demonstrable experience of multiple End-to-End Transition Lifecycles.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to challenge.
  • Strong ability to work with teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable building relationships with external parties.
  • Pro-active.
  • Ability to constructively challenge deviation from defined process.
  • Clarifies understanding by asking questions and probing carefully.
  • Strong judgement - with willingness to take responsibility for project decisions.
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business settings.


DESIRABLE
  • Agile background Project or Service management.
  • Interest in luxury retail.
