Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Labour Relations & Legal Obligations Manager M /F
What you'll be doing
Preparation of various labour-relations projects
- In France: monitor developments in labour law related either to the national French legislative framework (labour code) or to a collective agreement, and which could have an impact on the company (company rules and regulations, occupational risk assessment document, databases, etc.).
- Using a comprehensive approach, track the same data for each country in which Vestiaire Collective operates.
- Plan for and anticipate office openings by connecting with the best local partners in order to ensure compliance with local regulations and implementation prior to each opening.
- Schedule the various annual meetings with staff representative bodies (works council, committee on hygiene, safety, and working conditions, etc.).
- Prepare for future changes in employee relations within the company by formalising proposals in line with the company's strategy, its collective labour agreement, and with employment law.
Relations and negotiations with social partners
- Inform the various staff representative bodies of the company's regulatory development plans
- Organise staff representative elections
- Lead the different meetings with staff representative bodies
- Schedule the various annual meetings with staff representative bodies
- Engage in collective bargaining and ensure the proper implementation of agreements
- Manage crisis situations (strikes, etc.)
- Maintain dialogue with social partners (define a communication and bargaining strategy to facilitate acceptance of change by social partners and staff)
- Ensure that agreements are properly implemented and communicate with the social partners on the progress of operations
Provide advice to the human resources department
- Respond to questions from general management regarding social relations and provide advice in advance of any company development projects
- Inform the company's management about the various quantitative and qualitative indicators used for monitoring the labour-relations environment and anticipate any risks of crisis
About you
- Very strong knowledge of labour law and more specifically of the collective agreement that applies to the company
- Ability to develop an automatic reflex of checking or implementing legal obligations at the international level (countries in which the company has operations; opening of offices abroad, etc.)
- Historic and institutional knowledge of the various unions and all staff representative bodies within the company
- Expertise in various bargaining techniques
- Broad general, economic, and political knowledge base
- Financial and accounting knowledge needed for budget preparation
- Excellent knowledge of the company's organisational structure and its specific cultural characteristics
- You have a natural charisma and the ability to impose your authority in your role within the company.
- You have proven negotiating skills (essential to reconcile the company's decisions and interests with the staff's wishes) and an ability to resist stress and take a step back from situations (so as not to be absorbed by the wishes and pressures of the various parties, particularly in the context of negotiations); ability to be diplomatic while firmly implementing decisions
- You are also known for your team spirit, listening skills, sense of service and responsiveness, proactive nature, agility, and your ability to adapt
- You speak fluent English
Last but not least, you know how to work in a fast-paced environment, you have strong organization skills and most of all, a positive team spirit.
