In this role, you will help us build and scale a team of high performing outbound Sales Development Representatives. You will lead a highly visible and motivated team that generates leads and achieves individual, team and organizational quotas. You'll have the opportunity to build and create, and become a valuable contributor to the overall sales strategy to successfully align sales development objectives with regional objectives in a key market.

Qualifications

You'll need to have:
  • Extensive experience managing a team or team of teams with high performing reps and outbound experience
  • History of excellence in leading people
  • Proven record of success in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Successful track record in high volume transactional sales and be data-oriented
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks for the team
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills

You'll be working on things like:
  • Hiring, leadingand training a team of 8-12 talented reps to be hunters
  • Motivate individuals and teams to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives
  • Build a winning culture by coaching and mentoring team members
  • Develop representatives into sales-ready candidates to ensure professional development and growth
  • Report on sales activity, call metrics and forecast to leadership
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity
  • Collaborating on the sales development craft and building the foundations to scale fast
  • Partner with marketing and enablement to ensure alignment & plan local events
  • Plan and drive N. American expansion and net new merchant acquisition growth
  • Experiment with the SDR motion and ways it can unlock growth for Shopify

We are looking for Sales Development Team Leads across Canada and the United States of America. This role is fully remote and Shopify is working towards afuture that is digital by design.
