About the Role

This role is responsible for pre- & in-season store inventory strategies for the North America Men's & Accessories divisions as well as managing two allocation analysts that support these divisions. The manager partners closely with Inventory Management, Merchandising & Visual partners to translate financial plans into new flow & replenishment strategies to ensure profitable inventory allocation across stores. This position works with field partners to ensure in season sales trends are supported as well as our Supply Chain team to ensure forecasted allocations are flow smoothly through the pipeline.

What You'll Do

  • Store Inventory Depth Planning & Allocation
    • Strong knowledge of store base through store visits, historical store performance, store attributes, cross functional partnerships, and field communication
    • Drive inventory depth planning to support store/category opportunities to continuously improve GMROI and sell through across the fleet
    • Ensure total store inventory levels enable the Merchandise & Inventory Management strategies, incorporate field identified opportunities and are properly allocated to support sales & gross margin expectations
    • Lead Flow Alignment meetings prior to new flow allocation to gain alignment with cross functional team on allocation strategies
    • Coach & support direct reports to tie in-season business results to allocation strategies
    • Lead regular Flow Forecast review with our Supply Chain partners
  • Store Assortment Planning
    • Participate in assortment change review to ensure store assortments meet customer demand and support product strategies
    • Provide support to cross-functional teams by partnering and communicating with divisional and departmental business partners (i.e. Merchandising, Inventory Management, Visual, Supply Chain and Company Planning)
  • Leadership & Developing People
    • Develop cross brand & cross functional relationships to continuously learn, improve analytics and processes
    • Effectively manage and support the career development of direct reports to ensure job satisfaction, retention and identify and develop bench strength
    • Accurately assess and leverage direct reports' strengths and address developmental needs
    • Provide timely and actionable feedback to direct reports, fostering skill development & improving performance


Who You Are

  • Possess a strong analytical ability with a focus on driving business results
  • Possess a drive for continuous improvement in processes, tools, business results and partnerships
  • Proven ability to consistently navigate through ambiguous business situations
  • Proven ability to prioritize, demonstrating logical analysis and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to be innovative and arrive at new solutions to problems
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to communicate directly and clearly, reflecting an appropriate sense of diplomacy and urgency to all levels of management
  • Working knowledge of applicable systems and spreadsheets
  • Competent in Microsoft office, including the ability to learn technical applications quickly
  • 5+ years' experience as an Inventory Management Planner, Store Planner or equivalent, prefer previous managerial experience
