THE ROLE & THE TEAM
Led by the Director of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), the D&I strategy is underpinned by critical strategic pillars that address our stakeholder groups: Talent, Leadership, Customer, Partner. We are seeking a Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Strategic Business Initiatives who will be part of the D&I Strategy & Governance Central Team. This role will help lead the integration of the D&I strategy across the business, provide expert advice to a range of stakeholders, coordinate efforts that help execute on the strategic commitments that are described in the operational plans for Zalando.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED…
  • You’ll be responsible for collaborating with Zalando’s Global PMO on business wide operational planning and ensuring all strategic initiatives have a D&I component while supporting the coordination of local initiatives for each year
  • You’ll be responsible for collaborating with Business Unit (BU) Leaders to ensure D&I strategic commitments are part of Zalando Operational Plans and to identify opportunities for D&I Initiatives that can be linked to the commitments laid out in the strategy
  • You’ll advise and guide BU Leaders in order to achieve D&I annual commitment objectives and work with D&I Strategy & Governance Partner to develop measurements that quantify and drive improvement
  • With your functional and organizational know-how, you will lead the conversation, help stimulate stakeholders thinking by bringing thought leadership to these groups to continue Zalando to stay at the leading edge of D&I
  • You’ll anticipate the needs arising out of the business operational planning, helping resolve issues as they surface
  • As a D&I expert, you will lead stakeholders to better understand and raise their own awareness of D&I

  • You convince with your D&I professional experience and knowledge, ideally as a strategic consultant and/or business operations
  • You are passionate about promoting inclusive culture practices and processes that are models for others
  • You have a strong leadership style that is inclusive by design, with the experience of working in a cross-functional organization, as well as being fluent in English
  • You are know for your independent working approach with the ability to quickly familiarize with new topics, a structured, efficient way of working, strong communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, good collaboration with teams
  • You bear the ability to get into complex topics, able to easily navigate Zalando’s innovative, dynamic environment, and act in the spirit of the company
