As Quality Manager you’re joining our Product team at our head office in central Stockholm. You are ultimately responsible for the very core of our business: the quality of our products, and the social and environmental conditions under which they are made. This role entails a high degree of variety in responsibilities, tasks and projects. Your work stretches from reviewing lab tests and inspection samples, through auditing factories and checking certifications to analysing customer feedback, defect returns and initiating improvement projects.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Product while collaborating with our Production Manager and Product Developer to ensure the quality of our running production as well as our new product development. You’ll also be collaborating cross functionally with our operations team to gather data and feedback regarding product quality and defects.

  • Ensure reliable and replicable, high quality production of all ASKET products at all times
  • Continuously improve the quality of our products in all aspects (look, feel, making, fit, longevity, etc.) to maximise customer satisfaction with, and usage of, our products
  • Drive social and environmental excellence both internally and among our suppliers, ensuring that our products are made in the most responsible and fair manner possible

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Executively responsible for product quality and our suppliers fulfillment of our environmental and social standards
  • Develop our quality assurance strategy and processes and certify that requirements and SOPs are implemented and maintained at all times
  • Manage and review factory audits and certifications for social and environmental compliance
  • Manage and review production inspections, lab tests, in-house tests and samples for all production and new product development
  • Work with our manufacturers to continuously improve their quality systems and processes
  • Compile quality performance reports (customer rating and feedback, defect rates, etc.) 
  • Inspect and analyse product defects and revival program returns
  • Support customer care department on quality issues and claims
  • Manage the wear testing program and develop longevity testing program
  • Create and analyse product surveys
  • Initiate actions or advise on changes to improve quality or prevent the occurrence of product nonconformity

The perfect candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quality work within the apparel industry, e.g. garment technician, quality specialist, etc.
  • First hand exposure to and understanding of apparel supply chains and garment factories. Previous work in a factory or production country is preferred
  • Relevant education as textile engineer, quality expert, product/material developer or similar
  • Proven success in working with external stakeholders
  • Great knowledge of quality standards in apparel, AQL measures and production norms, as well as physical property and testing methods
  • Knowledge and understanding of global industry standards, rules and regulations
  • Highly organized and structured with a strong attention to details
  • Passionate about making high quality, timeless products in a responsible way
  • Excellent analytical ability skills, data-driven, critical thinker
  • Documented experience and affinity for working in systems like ERP, PLM, PIM
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally
