As Commercial Intelligence Manager in the newly created Partnership Beauty team, you will be part of a high performing and passionate team driving the commercial success of our strategic partnership with SEPHORA. You will be responsible for analyzing the performance of the actual local markets, build a reporting system which considers both internal and external viewpoints and be the Guardian of our internal data sharing Firewalls within Zalando and towards the external stakeholders.

Steering SEPHORA to reach optimal commercial performance, utilizing the deep understanding of the business and relationships you will build both internally and externally. You have experience using commercial and financial planning tools and processes and play a pivotal role in evolving these within Zalando to benefit the overall dynamic expansion targets. You work closely with the Head of Strategic Partnership in Beauty and become an elaborate consultant to the overall beauty proposition and be the driving force of building a strong analytical ground for top management decisions on both stakeholder sides.
The role is located in Berlin, Germany.WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Leading the creation of a strategic commercial plan and forecasting in close collaboration with our partner.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and collaborate with SEPHORA and internal stakeholders to ensure the commercial business is steered to reach the defined targets in each local market.
  • Pioneer new ways of working and seek out areas of improvement within your functions and collaborate with others to implement solutions that deliver our customers promises, inspiring others to do the same.
  • Working very closely with our Buying and Merchandise Planning teams within the Beauty category to drive and contribute to our overall growth.
  • Be part of building a partner program model for Zalando beauty.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or comparable field. More than 5 years experience in a commercially facing role (preferably within eCommerce). Ideally, you also bring 2-3 years in merchandise planning or buying in Partner Program. Confidence in using both planning and forecasting tools to determine risks and opportunities.
  • You love to work with numbers and figures, are strong in analytics and thinking strategically and are excited by the opportunity to shape the Beauty category. You have experience in Google Suite and consider yourself an expert in Excel.
  • Motivated and comfortable to work in an ever-changing environment, you are solution-oriented and you enjoy working in a dynamic business. You are a true entrepreneur and love to make decisions. You enjoy sitting in the driver's seat and feel comfortable taking over ownership and accountability.
  • You have excellent English skills, communicate clearly with varied stakeholders and possess solid negotiation skills. French/ Italian speaking might be an additional plus, although not required
  • A plus: you are passionate about Beauty, Fashion and Luxury brands expertise

Announced in July 2021, Zalando and Sephora joined forces to create an unrivalled Online Prestige Beauty Experience for European Customers. The first pilot in Germany is already live and the starting point to become the ultimate online prestige beauty destination for millions of Zalando customers and reinvent how they shop beauty online.

The partnership brings together Zalando's unparalleled customer experience and deep ecommerce expertise with Sephora's carefully curated assortment of several thousand exciting beauty products from more than 300 prestige and exclusive brands, beauty expertise and marketing power in prestige beauty. Starting in Germany in Q4 2021, the partnership is set to be rolled out to other Zalando markets as of 2022.
