Position Objectives

elysewalker is a growing company and is seeking a motivated, customer-centric team member to take on company’s IT needs. You will be responsible for installing and upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues for our store and caproate teams. This position will be based out of our Culver City office, with some travel and will report into the CIO.

To be successful as an IT specialist, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. Top candidates will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Installing new software and hardware components
  • Troubleshooting Point of Sale software and peripherals
  • Regularly evaluating our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands
  • Maintaining office 365 user accounts and groups
  • Updating reports for management team
  • Assisting with network administration tasks.
  • Resolving all issues employees have with their company IT systems and software
  • Educating employees about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network.
  • Project coordination and technical writing
  • IT equipment check-out tracking
  • Assist with new hire onboarding
    • Equipment ordering and configuring
    • Creating logins for various systems
    • Installing required software for the position
    • Setting up remote access

Required Skills

  • Previous working experience as IT coordinator for (3) year(s)
  • Previous experience in help desk support will be an advantage
  • Degree in computer science or a related field is preferable
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and SQL scripting is plus
  • Ability to read customers and make great judgement calls
  • Ability to provide world class customer service
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-motivated self-starter that can initiate ideas and take ownership of work
  • Ability to utilize root cause analysis to identify problems from symptoms and implement solutions inclusively with team and business partners
  • Strategic technical and business thinking, taking calculated risks and able to pivot quickly
  • Resilient in learning from mistakes and applying lessons quickly to new situations
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Thrives on technical challenges and takes pride in solving them
