We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join us at Hush. By reviewing previous seasons’ best-sellers, keeping an eye on new reactions, and constantly reviewing our sales forecasts to maximise sales and profit.
The role, while primarily support the Merchandiser across a range of categories but will also allow the right candidate the opportunity to take ownership for their own areas.
Duties and responsibilities
Trading
- Produce trading reports to summarise, analyse and identify key sales drivers
- Make weekly trading proposals to Merchandiser in relation to Sales reactions and Stock management and liaise with branch merchandising team to ensure stock optimization across channels
- Forecasting Category WSSI and Line card projections for continuity product
- Manage intake in conjunction with the Buying department, ensuring critical dates are met for product launch
- Liaise with E-com team with regards to Visual merchandising of web and weekly marketing plans
Planning
- Provide Historical Analysis to support in range planning and phasing decisions and present in lessons learnt meetings
- Support with analysis to assist creating season range plans, and for the right candidate taking ownership of your own areas planning
- Ensure Buy Documents are accurate and kept up to date to support category stock plans
- Support Merchandiser with Building category wssi in relation to sales phasing and required stock builds
- Develop strong partnerships with buying and design to understand trend and direction and support them with analysis to aid seasonal planning
- Manage and oversee workload and training of the Merchandise Assistants to build them into future Assistant Merchandisers.
Qualification Required
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Ability to organize and manage workload with flexibility to change to changing priorities
- Analyzing data to gain insights and make key recommendations
- Strong communication skills to build relationships across all areas of the business
- Proactive and enthusiastic with strong interest in the retail market.
- An ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
