The Senior Strategic Partner Manager is responsible for co-creating and implementing strategic growth plans for one of our most strategic partnerships, by leveraging the full spectrum of the Zalando Platform and acting as the main point of contact to the partner.

In this role you will own the holistic strategy with our strategic partner Sephora, providing commercial expertise and advice with the goal to drive sustainable, qualitative, and mutual commercial growth, while bringing Zalando’s best to the partner relationship.

  • Strategy: Develop, maintain, and execute strategic plans with clear roadmaps and timelines and coordinate partner focused initiatives across relevant functions within and beyond Category Management.
  • Platform Management: Creating a strong footprint and becoming the 1st in class Beauty partnership platform model. Link the Zalando platform vision and project landscape with the partner’s needs, and financial and strategic plans. Drive cross-department partner focused initiatives and ensure their timely implementation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ensure transparency across stakeholders to facilitate project progress. Maintain a strong network within the partners’ local and central organization and enable structured relationship management.
  • Financial Planning: Support with the setting and alignment of commercial growth targets for the partnership with selected brands. Integrate Zalando business models and services feeding into the plans and track target achievements.
  • Negotiations: Set annual terms and conditions, ensuring a positive and commercially viable partnership.

  • You have already mastered working for one of Zalando’s partners and have successfully established a strong partnership with one of our fashion partners as an SPM.
  • You gained 6+ years of relevant work experience in consumer-oriented commercial, partner-facing, or highly analytical roles. E-commerce industry required, beauty e-commerce a plus.
  • You are a strategic commercial thinker with impressive analytical skills and critical mindset. You have strong technical skills in Microsoft/ Google Suite
  • You have a strong understanding of the P&L lines in an E-commerce retailing environment, and empathy for the needs of a consumer brand
  • You have outstanding communication skills and can drive projects with different teams across the organization, including senior management stakeholders.

The first pilot in Germany is already live and the starting point to become the ultimate online prestige beauty destination for millions of Zalando customers and reinvent how they shop beauty online.

The partnership brings together Zalando’s unparalleled customer experience and deep ecommerce expertise with Sephora’s carefully curated assortment of several thousand exciting beauty products from more than 300 prestige and exclusive brands, beauty expertise and marketing power in prestige beauty. Starting in Germany in Q4 2021, the partnership is set to be rolled out to further Zalando markets as of 2022.
