We are looking for an experienced Product Analytics leader to join this department as Team Lead Product Analytics (w/m/d) and make an impact on the digital experience of our customers, leveraging quantitative data as a critical part of our product development process.

As a Product Analytics team, our mission is to enable evidence-based decision making in our organization. Working closely with teams of Software Engineers, Applied Scientists, Product Managers and Product Designers, we achieve this by improving the understanding of user behavior (analysis deep-dives), validating product ideas and driving product optimization through experimentation and a/b testing, monitoring product performance (e.g. KPI definition), and spreading Data Literacy.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Lead and develop a diverse team of expert Product Analysts and shape the team’s vision by creating its long term research and methodology roadmap
  • Contribute to the Product Analytics leadership round and drive analytics best practices and methods within and across teams
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional leaders (Product, Design, Engineering and Applied Science) and contribute to strategic product decisions based on your team’s insights
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to key product decision makers up to the Executive level
  • Drive collaboration and foster transparent communication across different teams, manage large stakeholder groups
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Demonstrated ability and proven experience managing and developing Analytics teams, preferably in e-commerce
  • Technical and leadership capabilities to coach team members in applying appropriate methodologies, communication styles, and technical solutions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate your problem statements, hypotheses, insights, and recommendations to a wider and executive audience
  • Ability to take on ambiguous problem spaces and challenges, helping stakeholders define the questions they want answered
  • Strong knowledge of experimentation and experimental design and its challenges in large company settings. Knowledge of causal inference and quasi-experimental analysts methodologies
  • Knowledge of e-commerce KPIs and how they can be defined
  • Knowledge of SQL (preferably BigQuery) and R or Python
  • Experience in tracking and analysis of onsite user behavior (eg. using Google Analytics or a similar tool)
