We’re on the hunt for someone with a commercial mindset and a proven track record of growing brands to join Story mfg. We are based in Brighton, UK but interested in hearing from people from all over the world who are willing to relocate or travel often.

Story mfg. was founded in 2013 by Katy and Saeed who have up until now managed all aspects of the brand. The company has reached a position where the pair are looking for an experienced hand to manage the organisation to continue this growth while they assume roles as Creative Directors.

This role requires specific experience. While we aren’t expecting you to understand our unusual production methods, we‘re expecting you to have a wealth of experience to apply and you’ll be expected to hit the ground running and deliver results.


  • Work with Creative Directors to analyse the business and build new supplier relationships, products and ranges. 
  • Establish and maintain trade and content calendar, ensuring that it aligns with all product launches and promotion plans. 
  • Be a driving force within the company, making plans and delivering on them. 
  • Manage teams across departments to maintain a unified voice and efficiency and ensure smooth and successful delivery and promotion of all products.
  • Liaise with design and production teams to make sure projects are managed and deadlines are met.
  • Strengthen range planning decisions and implement future strategies.
  • Collate and understand sell-through data from multiple platforms
  • Keep the company on track and hitting deadlines, creating systems to promote greater visibility across departments.
  • Work with third parties (freelance PR, Marketing etc)
  • Develop and oversee strategies in B2B & D2C Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment and Logistics
  • Understand and maintain company vision, ethics and goals.
  • Manage partnerships with other brands, ensuring they make creative and business sense for the company.
  • Liase with sales agents to ensure our wholesale business aligns with growth plans and production capacity. 

Who you are:

  • A strong leader: Experience in managing multi level work force. Inspire and motivate existing staff, and lead the organisation and recruitment for new structure, implementing 'Departments' so each member of staff can own their own vertical and achieve their potential. Manage teams to deliver individual revenue streams, setting KPIs
  • Operational Genius: 'Big Picture Thinker' who is able to come in, analyse the business and  create and execute a successful and robust critical path 
  • Strategic thinker: Write and deliver a commercial strategy across D2C and Wholesale channels, working in harmony with existing partners, identifying opportunities for growth. 
  • Digital first: Develop Digital/SEO strategy to sustainably grow sales across key markets. You’re data oriented.
  • A customer: Live and breath the ideology of Story Mfg, respecting the brand values and implementing care and respect in all stages of business development
  • Experienced: Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
