Sales Manager - HUGO

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development of HUGO Menswear and Womenswear covering both the UK & Ireland. The role will be expected to nurture and drive business with existing partners alongside the company strategies. The Sales Manager will report directly to the Head of Wholesale HUGO whilst managing their own direct reports.

What you can expect:
  • Sell and support seasonal HUGO collections to Key Partners (Department Stores, Multi Independents, Online) building long-term relationships and becoming an expert on Key partners/customers business models to maximise sales and profitability
  • Regular trade meetings with Key Accounts to maximise opportunities, and understand our performance whilst building relationships.
  • Pre-season order book analysis and BIS reporting across all customers, analyse sell-in each season to ensure adequate cover based on their distribution
  • Track annual net sales monthly and deliver actions to achieve OB Plan Figure
  • Track annual stock sales monthly and deliver actions to achieve OB Plan Figure
  • Detailed follow up throughout the season with a view to identifying re order opportunities with buyer/merchandisers based on weekly reports
  • Clear understanding of commercial budgets across all lines and the ability to deliver growth
  • Clear and detailed understanding of HUGO VM Guidelines across all wearing occasions
  • Required attendance at a minimum of three DOS Model Stores per year and implement with wholesale partners
  • Deliver strategy by Brand Gender Line (BGL) as well as minimum spend by BGL and account
  • Establish first point of contact & communication for all HUGO customers for plans/issues/actions and feedback in appropriate style updating line manager and Directors at all times.
  • Process stockist enquiries promptly and according to HB criteria
  • Clear understanding and delivery of Hugo Boss Online distribution with an emphasis on brand delivery and brand equity
  • Evaluate online partner weekly for compliance with HB online guidelines
  • Support Stock Sales with seasonal and annual stock sales targets
  • Extensive co-ordination with all areas of the business including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Shop Construction
  • Deliver Key Account in Store Training seasonally
  • Understand/support /visit and review all POS for Key Partners and Customers
  • Understanding of distribution strategy for BOSS Brand and identify future potential partners and feedback to Senior Sales Manager and Head of Wholesale HUGO to build profitable growth plans
  • Planning, analysis and execution of budgets for Quarterly Reviews
  • Work closely with the HUGO BOSS design team/ Brand Management and attend Seasonal Market Exchange meetings providing detailed feedback and analysis
  • Compile end of season sales and product information reports to aid future development of the collection within the UK market
  • Develop retail understanding including space and option planning to guide customers and sales team to deliver ideal options versus space
  • Understanding of SIS concepts, capacities, costs and lead times
  • Maintain merchandising standards in the Menswear showroom and be responsible for stock inventory
  • Work closely with Supply Chain team and finance to ensure highest possible customer service on all orders and deliveries
  • Independently orchestrate monthly trade meeting and derive actions from these to enhance our performance
  • Understanding of key competitors for HUGO as well as pricing
  • Ability to evaluate trends and identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Regular seasonal visits to UK customers to ensure merchandising standards are in line with global strategy and stock holding is in line with sales performance.
  • Carry out in-depth product training with account members throughout the UK on a seasonal basis
  • Relationship building with clients ensuring long term profitable partnerships
  • Set up & disassemble collections
  • Collating sell through information
  • Any other ad hoc tasks
  • Regular seasonal visits to UK customers to ensure merchandising standards are in line with global strategy and stock holding is in line with sales performance.
  • Bi Weekly visits to key accounts, where strong relationships must be built with brand partners, and contact list updated monthly.
  • Organise and oversee travel plans for team ensuring existing clients, potential clients and parallel accounts.
  • Attend form and fabric meetings at HQ
  • Prepare and conduct appraisals for team
  • Be responsible for New Starter induction within team; including introductions, company history, systems training, new starter paperwork and on the job coaching.
  • Manage and authorise sales executives holidays ensuring adequate cover in showroom
  • Work closely with other Sales Managers towards sales strategy, trainings and travel plans
  • Be approachable for the team to deal with daily ad hoc queries
  • Motivate and develop Senior/Sales executives
  • Manage team performance
  • Ensure regular update meetings with Senior/Sales Executive and Head of Wholesale
  • Demonstrate a high degree of leadership and initiative providing structure, direction and feedback to ensure and encourage positive team performance and development within the Wholesale Team
  • Provide mentorship when necessary to direct reports

  • Strong strategic and analytical mind set
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Comprehensive market and competitor knowledge.
  • Team management skills and experience is required.
