ASSISTANT BUYER AND MERCHANDISER
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Buyer and Merchandiser to support the Head of Buying and Merchandising in the development and execution of the seasonal merchandising strategy.
Location
Head Office, W1 with monthly travel to the Production Office, N9 (Option to work remotely on a weekly basis can be discussed at interview)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Buying and Merchandising in developing the seasonal merchandising strategy by creating and updating weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales reports and collating shop feedback for seasonal reviews
- Conduct the seasonal buy and core product reorders; working alongside the Head of Buying Buying and Merchandising to meet the buying budgets
- Maintain and update the seasonal range plans and delivery schedules to inform the timely allocation of products to store, working to the critical path
- Work with the Allocator to oversee the allocation and management of stock movements within the business
- Effectively communicate stock information and delivery updates to the stores to enable them to provide a high standard of customer service
- Work closely with Design, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Production, Wholesale and Warehouse departments to maximise seasonal sales performance
- Responsible for the creation of the seasonal collection guide to ensure its effectiveness as a staff training tool
- Provide key administrative support to the Head of Buying and Merchandising to ensure the efficient running of the department
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Assistant or Admin Assistant Buying or Merchandising position
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, numerical and analytical skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Advanced Excel (pivot and cube reporting beneficial)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly
- Solid experience of stock management systems (SAP/RMIS or a similar programme advantageous
