This is an exciting and unique opportunity to become a member of the Otrium US team as our Senior Marketing Director, Brand, on a global scale. You will be responsible for communication, coordinating IM and PR/advocacy, creating efficiencies and protecting brand equity as well as the creation of influencer marketing and PR strategies. You’ll have a strong focus on digital and social communications to drive brand awareness and visibility whilst ensuring the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled and supported within the sales organization.

Your impact

As the Senior Marketing Director, Brand, you will achieve global success in the role by developing, deploying and governing the Influencer Marketing and PR strategy which supports global brand business objectives and protects brand equity. You will also be creating efficiencies and coordinating across Public Relations, Communications, Influencer Marketing and Advocacy activities within the Otrium US organisation.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Brand and Content Managers to effectively elevate and build brand awareness for Otrium
  • Development of Influencer Marketing (IM) and Public Relations (PR) strategy to maximize US and global press coverage, digital visibility, and positive consumer and customer engagement.
  • Oversight and optimization of the total US communication and PR budget.
  • Develop original and out of the box campaigns and social engagement strategies that connect with consumers, tell our brand story to customers online and offline.
  • Keep target audience, brand guide and philosophy into account in all communication or external activities/creations.
  • Oversee the ongoing management by the team of tooling for IM/PR selection.
  • Define and implement success metrics for the team to track, analyze, and monitor monthly print press, digital & influencers coverage results, identifying key insights to optimize brand strategy.
  • Manage a team that will lead Local Influencer Programming, identifying up and coming talent, and opportunities to extend storytelling through innovative activations.
  • Manage a team that will coordinate press days, interviews, personal appearances, and photoshoots.
  • Participate and attend cross-functional meetings working closely to ensure a 360-degree partnership across business objectives.
  • Foster & maintain good relationships and partnerships with external vendors.
  • Define and embed an escalation & crisis process

Your experience, knowledge & skills

  • Bachelor-level academic background in relevant field (Business/Marketing degree preferred).
  • Highly experienced in an agency, FMCG or Scale-up.
  • Proven success in people leadership, with a track record of coaching & developing.
  • A clear vision on building Influencer Marketing and Public Relations within Tech spaces on an international level.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels.
  • Strong Commercial sense to ensure actionability of results and influencing successfully across locations.
  • Experience in managing budgets and working with suppliers to ensure actionable results, on time, best cost.
  • Ability to leverage/integrate existing data sets when information is available.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority and attention to details.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential nature.
  • Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking in approaching new and innovative ways of executing.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt well to change and multi-task.
  • Experience working within a local and global scope.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor activity and activity within the competitive beauty landscape.
