JOB SUMMARY As the AREA Director of Production, you will take ownership of the full production process from market handoff to final bulk delivery, working with cross-functional teams and global partners to ensure finished goods are realized to design’s specifications while maintaining delivery and margin goals. This role reports to the VP of Product Development & Production.

MAIN OVERVIEW

  • Ensure execution of milestones to meet on-time delivery of bulk production
  • Manage seasonal calendar and monitor progress alongside cross-departmental directors and managers in implementing deadlines
  • Analyze systems to optimize logistics, operations, and timelines across all raw materials and finished goods categories and the respective delivery regions
  • Oversee, develop, and maintain strong relationships with targeted international and domestic manufacturers
  • Attend production fittings to address fit issues with creative problem-solving and technicality alongside patternmakers and tech design while ensuring cost, quality, and lead times are maintained
  • Communicate with design, trim, and PD departments ensure seamless transition from market handoff to production
  • Working alongside finance and sales to optimize margins alongside projections; responsible for costing to ensure margin goals are achieved
  • Proactively improve supply chain timelines by implementing processes such as projecting fabric buys prior to market
  • Communicate bulk delivery status to sales and e-commerce on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for vetting new factories and manufacturing partner; participate in supplier performance reviews
  • Aims to instill quality in make and fit through final bulk delivery; implement best practices for testing and inspection

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10+ years in production or product development
  • International and domestic production experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • PLM experience a plus
  • Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, creative environment
  • Ability to travel as needed
