About the candidate

Depop is looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to grow and lead our internal communications function globally. This individual will build the internal function within the Global PR and People teams, working closely with executive stakeholders, to increase internal awareness of the company’s vision, purpose, values to support the development of the internal brand and culture, whilst defining creative, clear and strategic communications plans to motivate and inspire our 300+ global employees.

Responsibilities

  • Set the internal communications strategy across People, Culture, Brand and Comms and drive its execution globally
  • Define internal communications pillars that reinforces Depop’s unique brand, progressive community and vision for the future
  • Develop frameworks and plans to effectively deliver company announcements, key strategic priorities and milestones on behalf of the business 
  • Create company process and procedure for consistent internal communications to keep our employees informed and engaged in what is happening
  • Advise on and improve our internal communications channels, defining new methods of measurement and efficiency 
  • Act as a strategic counsel to the Exec team, refining their internal voice to ensure clear and consistent communications
  • Line manage and support the development of Internal Culture & Comms lead

Requirements

  • 8+ years relevant experience working in internal or corporate communications, ideally at a tech company, social marketplace or purpose-led business growing at scale
  • Experience running and extending an internal communication strategy for a global organization, with regional considerations a plus
  • Strong organisational, project management and analytical skills
  • Comfort in working in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly and flexibly to change
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, experience as a copywriter is a plus
