JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Physical Archive
- Fulfill archive requests by staging inventory and preparing for shipments to the NY and NJ corporate offices
- Receive ongoing shipments of product from Corporate office
- Organize Tory Burch Corporate product by category, year and season
- Ensure the facility is up to Archive preservation standards
- Ensure all corporate, vintage and personal items are tagged and in appropriate storage material
- Align with the NY Archive team on Tory and Design visits
- Assist in editing processes of Corporate product
Digital Archive
- Run outstanding weekly log to determine product that needs to be returned
- Assist in a yearly audit of Archive Product at the Secaucus location
- Photograph product with missing or incorrect photos, associate with styles and upload to Tory Track
Additional Responsibilities
- Address any building needs and ensure they are resolved
- Participate in ongoing archive maintenance including assessing objects' conditions, collections organization, hanger replacement, and object vacuuming as required
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Dress, Costume, Fashion History, Art History or Decorative Arts is a plus
- Knowledge of or experience with digital and physical asset management is a plus
- Experience in organizing, cataloging, and classifying garments and accessories
- Able to identify different fabric, qualities, and silhouettes
- Knowledge of archive best practices is a plus
- Ability to perform standing physical activity for long periods
- Strong computer skills
- Highly organized and pays attention to details
- Energetic, patient, self-starter with a positive attitude
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work autonomously and collaborate across a wide spectrum of staff
