Manager, Store Planning
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | United States | Full-time

As part of the HUGO BOSS Store Planning team, this position will drive the planning and execution of layouts for Outlets, Shop in Shops, stockroom layouts, and miscellaneous Store renovations that reflect the Hugo Boss global brand image. This process is inclusive of all phases of planning and design such as the interface with both external design architects and local architects in order to realize design and construction documents, coordinating with external business partners for approvals, and administration of execution that honors budget, schedule, and operational requirements.

What you can expect:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
  • Manages the relationship with Hugo Boss stakeholders for new project information, planning documents, and forecasts
  • Establishes and maintains schedules and budgets for all new projects
  • Provides clear, effective, and timely communication of design direction and changes to all business partners
  • Oversees all architects, inclusive of site surveys, existing condition documentation, progress visits and punch lists
  • Oversees the external design process, ensuring designs that are both appropriate for our Global Brand image and are within the parameters of individual budgets & market requirements
  • Manages the production of construction documents and department of building submittals with local architects
  • Reviews, redlines and revises construction documents with local architect to ensure design intent is met and maintained
  • Reviews and revises Exhibit C and Schedule C
  • Communicates milestones to internal and external project teams
  • Ensures that all established deadlines are met for store and shop openings and renovations
  • Conducts site visits, as needed, to ensure architectural punch lists are complete, construction deficiencies are addressed and value engineering initiatives are discussed with the General Contractor
  • Maintains complete project histories and current store plans
  • Represents the Store Planning team in schematic reviews with cross-functional teams (Visual Merchandising, Store Operations)


Your profile:
  • 5 years Retail, hospitality or restaurant PM experience, including management of construction documents
  • Demonstrated strong space planning skills
  • Experience managing external consultants
  • Ability to balance design with operational needs
  • Adept at budgeting objectives while preserving store experience
  • Ability to execute multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Skilled in the visual, written and verbal communication of design issues
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet Software a plus
