The Team
The Buying Operations team is responsible for managing the global Tommy Hilfiger purchase orders. This team works in close collaboration with the Buying and Planning teams, Sourcing teams, Vendors and inbound teams.

The Position

  • Ensuring correct and timely Purchase order placement and confirming agreed delivery dates
  • Monitor Purchase orders status through different Systems and Tools, SAP, Infor Nexus and VMS, follow up to ensure on Time Delivery and Arrival and inform stakeholders as required
  • Purchase orders maintenance related to On Time Delivery dates, mode of transport, delay reasons etc in SAP 
  • Maintaining close relationships with vendors and global sourcing Hubs to understand PO status and specific Vendor and Country of origin challenges and opportunities
  • Assessing impact of over- and under shipment and negotiating discounts or re-production with vendors or sourcing hubs
  • Monitoring, reporting and able to explain KPI’s status
  • Maintaining good working relationship with internal up and downstream teams, Planning and Buying team, Inbound team, Order fulfilment team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Education: University degree or equivalent in Business, supply chain, Logistics.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in a fast-moving international environment
  • Experience in Fashion industry and/or Supply Chain is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), Advanced Excel skills required
  • Analytical and result orientated mind-set
  • High level of accuracy and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure with deadlines
  • Proactive, supportive, and hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication skills in English
