Connolly is looking for an ambitious, commercially minded meticulous and passionate merchandise and stock manager to join their head office team during a period of great growth and transformation. To underpin their commercial growth, Connolly have committed to improved inventory management processes, purchased a new system and agreed a new approach to OTB management which will require a passionate advocate to implement and develop across all channels of the business. The role will cover a broad spectrum of responsibilities covering all aspects of merchandising, reporting and inventory management within the Connolly brand from working with the production team on delivery schedules and retail pricing to managing the warehouse team and ensuring inventory counts are managed appropriately.

The Merchandise and Stock Manager will be responsible for:

  • All sales and stock report for the business needed for all financial, merchandising and buying decisions
  • Inventory management across the business – verifying and managing any discrepancies and keeping stock loss to a minimum
  • Management of Warehouse Team – to oversee replenishment to store, pick & pack e-commerce fulfilment, wholesale fulfilment and general warehousing duties
  • Implementation of the new Oracle stock management system “NetSuite” with the existing Connolly team
  • Working closely with the e-commerce manager, wholesale manager and retail director to create a comprehensive and rational merchandising plan to support their various buys to ensure optimal stock levels for each channel and the business as a whole
  • Working closely with the production team to track seasonal deliveries in every category and manage stock availability for all channels
  • Supporting the retail team with sample sales, pop-up sales or trunk shows to ensure the stock transfers and any operational issues are appropriately organised

 

We are looking for the following skills

  • Experience in using Netsuite from Oracle is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years’ experience in merchandising role at a top-tier or fast-growing omnichannel fashion, luxury lifestyle and/or leather business
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills and data-driven thinking
  • Prior work experience in the luxury industry i.e., an understanding of luxury customers, what works and what doesn’t
  • Organisational skills will be key in this broad and vital role which is at the heart of the business
