To develop deeper understanding of our consumers, the Marketing & Ecommerce Insights Specialist will employ a range of quantitative and qualitative techniques that are both innovative and pragmatic. You will be responsible for driving performance and change across the business.

This role offers you a platform to challenge existing assumptions, whilst highlighting opportunities to the business for growth and efficiency. Success in the role will focus on accurate, reliable reporting and insights whilst being recognized as a subject matter expert and go to person.

You will report to the Marketing & Ecommerce Insights Manager Region North and will work in close partnership with Brand Marketing, Ecommerce and the Centre of Excellence (C.O.E).

Responsibilities include:
  • Establish yourself as a go to person and subject matter expert for questions relating to Insights and Analytics in our business.
  • Deliver Marketing and Ecommerce Insights reporting. You will be responsible for enabling ecommerce initiatives and account related planning through creating regular (weekly, monthly and ad hoc) tailored customer and consumer reports, combining information from a range of insights tools and data sources.
  • You will use this understanding to offer suggestions and work closely with our Ecommerce, Brand Marketing and Digital Marketing teams, providing clear and concise data insights to drive our strategic workstreams and activations.
  • In line with seasonal calendars you will interpret and present data to support business priorities, identifying opportunities and problem-solving challenges in order to help grow our categories, channels and business.
  • Support the Insights & Analytics Manager Northern Hub with execution of strategic and ad-hoc tasks and objectives.
  • Develop best in class data lead relationships with our customers to help build collaboration and data sharing.
  • Move Marketing and Ecommerce to the next strategic level; grow, integrate and automate performance tools expanding & embedding capabilities.

About YOU
  • Experience in an Insights and/or Data Analytics role, eCommerce experience advantageous but not essential
  • A consumer first mind-set with a strong knowledge of the marketing and ecommerce landscape.
  • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of Analytics, led from data with an enthusiasm for how this can be applied to an omni- channel model.
  • Experience of using analytical tools and applications to draw insights. Advanced knowledge of MS excel combined with experience using traffic monitoring, social media analytics, SEO and BI visualisation tools preferable. SQL experience advantageous but not essential
  • Confidence to be an expert in digital data, insights and analytics.
  • Ability to look at data, make decisions and generate insights and actions to grow the business.
  • Strong communication and influential skills, as the position will place you at the heart of the business and interacting with a range of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical skills & attention to detail - ability to create robust analysis and meaningful insights to drive actions and highlight opportunities; must be solutions orientated with an ability to flex in order to add value
  • The individual should have a positive mindset with an exceptional passion for winning combined with a strong interest & enthusiasm for eCommerce; must seek and deliver fresh opportunities whilst demonstrating an ability to deliver as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, curious mindset with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects on time
