Strathberry is seeking an extremely well-organised and motivated PR & Customer Service Assistant for China & APAC to join its growing team on a 6 month full-time contract. 

Reporting to the China & APAC PR & Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will operate from the Head Office in Edinburgh and play a key role in supporting the activities of the China & APAC team, whilst also providing the highest level of Customer Service support to our Chinese customers. 

Please note that native or bi-lingual fluency in Chinese and Mandarin is a key requirement for this role


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling timely customer service for Chinese customers, including markets from Greater China, Hong Kong and Taiwan
  • Supporting content marketing on Chinese social media platforms, e.g. Little Red Book, WeChat and Weibo
  • Developing a network of assistant-level press contacts within the local UK Chinese market
  • Assisting the China & APAC PR Manager and Ecommerce Director with marketing and industry research on Greater China and the local UK Chinese market
  • Providing translation support, including but not limited to product descriptions, SMS to simplified / traditional Chinese
  • Formulating monthly themes with the China & APAC PR Manager on the master marketing calendar
  • Handling editorial, influencer copyright and credit requests across all categories
  • Supporting the China & APAC PR Manager with all aspects of press clippings, including data analysis, house-keeping and reporting, to enable monthly strategy formulation
  • Compiling bi-weekly KPIs and other metrics for regional review meetings


Other activities include:

  • Maintaining the press, KOL and industry contact database with up-to-date details and recording of gifting
  • Supporting the China & APAC PR Manager with ad hoc requests, including event coordination
  • Management of third-party vendor expenses with internal departments


Candidate Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience working in Public Relations, preferably within luxury fashion
  • Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written English.
  • Solid knowledge of the Greater China, Hong Kong, Taiwanese and local UK-based Chinese markets
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to engage and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Must be a good team player, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Adapts quickly to change and last-minute requests, as required
  • Flexibility to work across both APAC and UK timezones, working full-time from Strathberry’s Head Office in Edinburgh.
