Knitwear Designer

We are looking for a true knitwear creative with a commercial eye, who displays keen skills in creating a wide variety of unique stitch techniques across many yarn types and machine gauges for easy fitting styles that will suit the Sahara layering aesthetic.

Working seasonally for Sahara in their design studio in Primrose Hill alongside their friendly, creative team; the role starts as soon as possible and lasts for 4 to 6 weeks, initially designing ranges for AW 2022.

You will be working with relaxed styling on a variety of blended mixed yarns to create textural effects. Yarn types will be mainly natural fibre combinations produced within the EU and UK factories and your experience in developing knitwear from these countries will be highly valued.

A working knowledge of fully fashioned as well as cut and sew factory knit techniques and abilities is essential to this role.

The Senior Designer position is based at Sahara’s HQ which is nestled in the leafy village of Primrose Hill on the edge of Camden Town.
